2019 Subaru Forester
The Subaru Forester has been a must of the brand for several years and has been identified several times as a leader of its segment. After 5 years of good and loyal service, the fourth generation of the SUV, on the market since 2013, will be soon replaced by a brand new model.
The 2019 Forester should indeed arrive in dealerships by the end of the year and it will be entirely redesigned. Although we don’t know yet its official release date, some information has already been revealed for this SUV.
It will therefore be bigger than before, making it one of the most impressive and spacious Subaru cars along with the 2019 Subaru Ascent. Like the Impreza and the Crosstrek, the 5th generation of the Forester will be built on the new Subaru Global Platform, which offers a lower center of gravity and allows for more dynamic driving, reduced vibration and a quieter cabin.
This new platform could also be the opportunity to offer a hybrid version of Subaru’s famous SUV. In its classic version, the Forester will feature a new Subaru 2.5 liter Boxer direct injection engine, providing more power to the SUV and lower fuel consumption. This new engine will be associated with a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) and a Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
Finally, the 2019 Forester will benefit from high-end finishes and more noble materials and should be equipped with standard Eyesight active safety system.
